Did you know that there are Americans in the western suburbs who would love to meet you and help make your American experience a positive one? ISI invites you to meet them!
You are invited to ChatRoomLIVE (CRL), a Saturday friendship partner program on a friendly college campus in Wheaton, Illinois. CRL offers you friendship, cultural or spiritual insights, and opportunity to practice speaking English. In a casual classroom setting, you and your American friend will enjoy MUSIC and SPEAKERS on topics of interest such as...American Weddings, the Easter Holiday, American Music, English Proverbs, Business & Jobs, and only for those who are interested, Bible Exploration. After your afternoon “class” you both will spend time together on or off campus to develop your friendship and to improve your English conversation skills.

· TIME? Track A: American Culture 1:45-3:45pm
Track B: Bible Exploration 3:45-5:45pm
· International Students (and Americans) commit to 1 or 2 tracks for
8 Saturdays (See dates above)
· Registered and accepted students are expected to attend all 8 Saturdays, if possible. But it’s ok if you must miss 1 or 2 Saturdays.

Who Can Register?
CRL is for “returning” international students and scholars with F1 or J1 visas. CRL is a non-immigrant program. Some exceptions made! You must be at least 18 years old. We do NOT provide childcare.
CRL has limited space. We cannot accept into the program all students who register.L So we will have a “waiting list.”J After registration, you will be notified regarding acceptance into the program(s) of your choice as soon as there is an opening for you in the program. See registration details below.
The Saturday program is free to you...but you may need to drive or ride the Metra train. Many students find that the train is a great place to study! And a $5 weekend train pass buys you unlimited Chicago-area train travel Saturday and Sunday! (Some restrictions: See the Metra train schedule – Union Pacific/West Line “Chicago to Geneva” – for details. Or visit the Metra website at www.metrarail.com and look at the Saturday schedule in particular!) Be aware that there are 2 Wheaton train stops. For the ChatRoomLIVE program you exit the train at “College Ave” (just before the “Wheaton” stop if coming from Chicago).

By car: Get to Roosevelt Road in Wheaton, drive north
(1 mile?) on President St. or Washington St. and turn onto
College Ave.
By Metra train, west line: Get off at the College Avenue
train station and walk a few blocks west on College Avenue
(which the station faces).
Blanchard Hall, where CRL meets, looks like a tan stone
castle and is at the corner of College Avenue & Washington St.
