Skiing resort

1)

It may not feel like it, but the skiing season is near AND there is a
possibility that some skiing resorts nearby could be open next week.  I made
a group reservation at Grand Geneva Resort for next Saturday at the great
early-season price of $23/person, which includes lift ticket, rental and
lesson, i.e. everything but lunch.  I should hear from them by Wednesday
about whether they will open.  I need to get more people to take advantage
of the group rate.  Please let me know if you are interested.  (Say, what
about those a few self-claimed lonely 1st year grad students?)  We'll car
pool and PLEASE indicate whether you have a car or need a ride.

Grand Geneva Resort
1.5 hours from Evanston
Vertical drop 210 ft.  Not high but good for beginners.  Has some deep drop
and terrain park to make it appealing to even more skilled skiers.

Regardless whether we can make it next Saturday, some friends and I are
going to ski (again) sometime during the Christmas/New Year week.  So if you
have to skip this one (although I don't see why), there should be another
chance but the price is going to be around $30.

I have a good resort to share with all skiing/snowboarding fans-Boyne Mountain. The resort I went is located at North Michigan, but it has pretty same distance (5/6 hours driving) with those skiing spots in WI. You may find out detail information through website http://www.boyne.com
